The Basics

What is Leica PaveSmart 3D?

Leica PaveSmart 3D is the most advanced paving control system from Europe’s leading machine control innovator. Leica PaveSmart 3D precisely regulates the elevation, slope and steering of the slipform paver using robust sensor technology. Integrating seamlessly with the pavers hydraulic control system, the concrete product is produced with speed and precision, on a clutter-free jobsite with less setup and teardown costs, with inreased jobsite safety.

Work of this nature traditionally requires pre-survey, hubs and data to be provided to the stringline crew. Installing stringline for curb applications is costly and time-consuming, especially for tight radius work. This layer of data interpretation can lead to mistakes, significantly increasing remedial costs. With Leica PaveSmart 3D, machine steer, elevation and cross slope are automatically controlled without stringlines.
