Another Hugely Successful Scanlaser Demonstration Day

Another hugely successful series of Scanlaser Demonstration Days were held on the MIRA Proving Ground in Nuneaton, September 9th, 10th and 11th.

Over the course of the 3 days 100 delegates from the Construction Industry came along to witness the full range of Scanlaser Machine Control Solutions. Taking a similar format to previous Demo Days, each morning kicked off with a 15 minute presentation after which everyone was bussed to the Live Demonstration Area.

The Demonstration Area was divided into 5 workstations each corresponding to a relevant point on a general construction project. This enabled visitors to envisage where each product would fit in a project plan. The workstations included:

Pre-Survey including hand-held Cable Locators (EZiCATs)
1st Stage Excavation
2nd Stage Excavation
Grading
As-Built Verification

Across the workstations attendees got to see for themselves the scope of Scanlaser´s Solutions from 1D, 2D and 3D Machine Control for excavators, dozers, graders and pavers to buried service location technology and Construction Lasers . Making a special appearance at the event were Engcon with one of their very popular tiltrotators for excavators.

Of particular interest on the day was the MikroDigger XC2 system which offers excavator operators unparalleled levels of control and has been known to cut up to 3 days off engineering time on certain projects. As always the EZiDIG excavator mounted buried service avoidance tool had everybody asking questions and looking for personal site demonstrations!
